Our Story
GRH was founded through revelation by the Lord and the following scripture:
This is what the Lord says: “In the time of my favor I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, To restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances, To say to the captives, ‘come out,’ And to those in darkness, ‘Be free!’”
- Isaiah 49:8-9a
The staff of GRH also holds firm to the following verses:
The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.
- Isaiah 61:1-3
What We Believe
1. The Bible
We believe the Bible is the Word of God. Every word in both the Old and New Testaments is inspired by God and the infallible final authority and the standard of all truth.
2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; John 1:1,14; John 14:6; Psalm 119:160; John 17:17
2. God
We believe in one holy, loving God, who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Isaiah 6:1-3; Revelation 4:8-11; John 4:7-8; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 37:16; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22; 2 Corinthians 13:14
3. Jesus is God
We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus, and that He is fully God and fully man.
1 John 1:1-2,14,18; John 14:6; Colossians 2:9; Galatians 4:4-5; Hebrews 1:3
4. Jesus Died for Our Sins
We believe that Jesus lived a sinless life on earth and that His death on the cross paid the penalty for our sins and obtained for us eternal redemption.
2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 3:23-25; Hebrews 9:12; Galatians 3:13-14
5. The Resurrection of Jesus
We believe that Jesus rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and is reigning in power with the Father.
1 Peter 1:3-5; Acts 2:29-32; Romans 4:25; Ephesians 1:19-23
6. Man
We believe that man was created in God's image. When man's sin entered into the world, man became separated from God, and is condemned to suffer eternal punishment apart from accepting God' gift of eternal life, that only comes through Jesus Christ.
Genesis 1:26-27; Genesis 8:21; Psalm 51:5; Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 5:12; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:12-13
7. Salvation
We believe that salvation from eternal punishment is a free gift of God that cannot be earned by good works. Salvation comes through faith alone in Jesus as Savior. Salvation provides the believer with eternal life in the presence of Almighty God. Those who do not accept salvation through Jesus will suffer eternal punishment.
Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12; John 3:16-18; Acts 4:10-12; Romans 3:22-24, 10:9-10; 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10; Revelation 20:11-15
8. Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person and that He indwells the believer at the moment of salvation. He assures us that we are children of God and part of the universal church.
Ephesians 1:13-14; Romans 8:9, 15-16; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14
9. Christ's Return
We believe in the personal return of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
John 14:1-3; Matthew 24:42-44; Philippians 3:20-21; Matthew 16:27-28; James 5:7-8
"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever." 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
