I was raised in a predominantly Italian-American home, the youngest of my parents’ seven children. Through my parents’ example of a very vocal and active faith in God, I was drawn to Christ at a young age. I very much took to heart the scriptures as I heard them read at church. I vividly remember the day that I responded to the Holy Spirit’s prompting in my heart, by telling the Lord that I wanted to know and trust him in the way that I saw my parents knowing and trusting him.
Years later, in my early teens, a youth minister showed me the scripture, John 3: 3, in which Jesus told Nicodemus that unless one is born again, one cannot see the Kingdom of God. The following week I prayed to be born again. I studied the Bible, led worship, and was called to teaching and evangelism. Whether I was at church, at school, or at work, I wanted to tell everyone about having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. God gave me a deep desire and many opportunities to tell others about His gift of love and salvation by grace.
In 1983 I entered college and in 1987 graduated with a B.A. in Elementary Education and a Certification in Special Education. In the years following, I taught regular and special education in public schools. I worked with adults with developmental disabilities in private settings, and I taught Spanish in a private school setting.
Over the years I have loved being involved in teaching and discipling women and children through the scriptures and have done so through various ministries. I am very grateful to God for calling me to be at Grace Restoration Home serving as a Bible study leader as well as being involved in prayer and biblical discipleship of clients, through our weekly prayer sessions.
I am blessed to be married for almost 30 years. My husband and I have the joy and privilege of having one son who is in his early twenties. Along with me, both my husband and our son have been very blessed by how the Lord’s biblical wisdom and principles are applied at Grace Restoration Home. We are deeply grateful to the Lord Jesus for the tremendous healing he has done in each of our hearts and the physical healing of debilitating migraines that our son had suffered with for years. God has led us through much-needed healing and forgiveness and has given us biblical tools that we are continually using as we serve the Lord, by his great grace.
It is my prayer that many will be blessed through the transforming Holy Spirit-led prayer sessions and Bible studies offered at Grace Restoration Home. I pray that through restored lives and their testimonies, Jesus Christ would continue to be glorified, that many would come to a saving knowledge of him and his love, and many would continue to find his healing restoration.
Jeremiah 17: 14 “Heal me, Lord and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.”
