I am the mother of four children, all grown and living out of my home. I am a widow. For the last 4 years I have hosted international students that attend Eastern Christian High School in my home. I have also been involved in leadership of mission trips, training the youth for mission trips, youth group, Child Evangelism, and children’s ministry at the churches that I have attended.
My journey as a follower of Jesus Christ started late in life. I was 40 years old when the Lord grabbed a hold of my heart, and said follow me!! When I realized how truly far I was from God, the extent of my sinfulness, and yet that the Lord loved me so much that he sent his Son to die for me, raised Him from the dead that I could be forgiven and spend eternity with the one true God, the creator of the universe, I fell to my knees and committed my life to Jesus. From that day on my life was changed.

The Lord has put a great love for his Word in my heart.  From the beginning, He sent amazing Bible teachers that made His word come alive. From the very early days of my new life in Christ, I became a defender and lover of the truth. My heart’s desire is to see others learn what it means to walk in truth. I disciple young adult followers of Jesus, helping them to understand that we can learn to navigate the world that we live in, not by becoming a part of it, but by standing on the truth of God’s word. I have hosted many Bible studies in my home.

I have witnessed many people (myself included) be set free from deep seated shame, guilt, unforgiveness, fear and abuse of every kind thru this ministry. My role is to teach them to walk in the truth of God’s Word and how to stand once they have been set free.  The devil is a roaring lion seeking someone to devour, 1 Peter 5:8 and if they are not standing on truth, they are going to fall back into old patterns of thinking and acting.

My heart is to see people set free by aligning their hearts with truth, and then to disciple them in understanding the Bible so they can continue to walk in that freedom. John 8:36 says, “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
