When I began attending Grace Restoration Home, I thought I was going simply to determine the cause of my sudden epileptic seizures (at 20 years old) that the doctors could not figure out. I had no idea that I would uncover the brokenness inside of me that my Heavenly Father wanted to restore. I attended GRH for about a year. Throughout that year I set out on a journey I didn’t think I was ready for. Tammy helped guide me through past emotional traumas that the Lord wanted me to heal from (I didn’t even realize I needed healing from these events). I was able to forgive people in my life that I didn’t know I was holding things against them. I learned how to have a more intimate prayer life and how to accept that I am a daughter of Jesus Christ the King and acknowledge him as MY FATHER. One of the most important things that GRH helped me with is distinguishing my Father’s voice amongst all the noise in my life. I’ve learned how to set apart his voice from my own, and more importantly from the enemy’s voice trying to deceive me. While I still don’t have a “medical cause” of the seizures I started having at 20 years old, I have gained so much more through my time spent at GRH. God used my seizures to open up the door for me to attend the beautiful ministry of GRH to gain intimacy with him, and heal from internal traumas that I didn’t realize were hindering my relationship with my Father.
